I found two or three  little red beetles in the soil at the lottie this afternoon. They are a soft 'shell', rather than shiny like red lily beetles. Probably the best way to describe them would be to say that they looked like very large red greenfly!!!!

They were in bare soil that has laid fallow all winter after I pulled out the early sprouts at about Christmas time.

Anybody got any ideas?

Possible red spider mite? not sure though as i am not an expert. :happy:

Thanks Mum, yup, that looks like them. Funny place to find them, our lottie is about half a mile from the nearest wall!
