Roses in Veg garden
« on: March 29, 2011, 21:38 »
Hi

My garden is mainly used for Growing veg but I've decided to use a patch to grow some Roses. Someone's just told me that Roses attract loads of greenfly and Aphids. So now I'm thinking I might end up attracting pests to my garden which will eat my veg. Anyone have any thoughts on the subject?

Thanks

Yes but you can only water those things with rainwater and in my experience they are difficult to keep alive.

I have roses growing among my soft fruit bushes and don't have a problem with aphids.
