I was planning to plant several blackberry bushes this Autumn but my plot is so small that they will be very near to my raspberry canes. Is there likely to be a problem with cross pollonation?

I haven't had a problem but read somewhere that it might be.  At least, my rasps came out as rasps and my blackberries look like blackberries so am assuming all is well!

fear not   the modern  bramble and raspberries are self pollinators and dont need insects so they cannot be x pollinated, all rasps .brambles etc are members of the rose family

Thanks for the advice - that has certainly set my mind at rest. I thought I might have to change my carefully laid out plans for my big Autumn move-round.
