Not bothered to do a search as I am pretty sure this would not of been asked before, first time for growing these but we are in competion for the biggest (and winning so far), I am down to the biggest, feed it and do all the things the web sites tell ya but does anyone stop the vines from growing? This thing has taken over about a quater of the plot so far so would nipping the growing tip so to speak put more effort into the fruit similar to beans??

Thanks man - at the moment the overgrowing pumpkin plants cover a multitude of sin (including plot next door!) so I have been cautious about the nipping but will give it a try for the homerun so to speak...
