Hi people i was woundering i have a allotment that i have started to dig over and get tidy my main problem is i dont yet have a greenhouse so my question is is there any seeds i can sow straight in my beds i have spuds and onions in cheers for help bailz

most root crops, like carrot, parsnip, turnip, beetroot, can be sown directly into the ground. Also spinach, cabbage, peas, broad beans and runner beans. Check on times for sowing on the back of seed packets or use the handy planting guide on this website

You can start many off in paper pots or modules at home but beware - it leads to the loss of your windowsills for months at a time! My 6 year old is fed up because she has the sunniest window and now has two trays of Chillies on her windowsil. My wife is also at me because we now have three trays of stuff on the living room windowsill. I hope she like the toms I am starting off.
