we have problem with some of our eggs, in some batch we get one or two that resemble a rotten egg, though they are fresh and just picked from the nest.  are these eggs safe to eat at all?

Hello tojasholgy, in what way do the eggs resemble rotten eggs?  I'm not sure I understand the question!

In what wat do they resemble a rotten egg? You can usually only tell a rotten egg when you crack it and it smells awful!!

I think that we have the same problem.  We have 3 pekin bantams and have had a few strange looking eggs when they have been cracked open to cook.  The yolk looks paler than usual and broken, almost completely mixed with the white.  They don't smell, but look like rotten eggs.  We collect the eggs every day and the girls only lay in the nest box so I know that they are not old eggs.  Would be grateful for any ideas to prevent this happening.
