BBC Radio 4 feature on chicken keeping
« on: February 16, 2011, 16:19 »
Can you help?

We're making a half-hour feature for Radio 4 about urban chicken keeping and are very keen to find someone who is devoted to their chickens, to demonstrate how addictive the hobby is. If you live in the Bristol area and get up at 5.00 to make porridge for your girls - or lovingly bring them all into the house on November 5th - or anything along those lines, we'd love to hear from you.

what have chickens got to do with traffic - unless they were crossing the road?  ;)
Staffies are softer than you think.

:D Sally BBC, you've come to the right place!  How about people who give their chickens warm bathsthen dry them with a hair-drier?  Or those who turn their whole home into a hatchery?  You'll find plenty of chicken-nutters around here.   ::)

Thanks for all your responses. Don't worry, we won't be making fun- the producer is a chicken keeper herself...looking forward to hearing from any Bristolians reading this!

I (and hens!) live about a 5 min walk from BBC Wales in Cardiff - OK, I know its not exactly Bristol but I thought it was worth a shot!

They could pop over in the TARDIS (they film Dr Who in Cardiff)

Thanks everyone- unfortunately we only have our presenter for a brief time, so probably wouldn't have time to hop over to Cardiff- a Tardis would be useful...
