I have some trays of onion sets in the greenhouse waiting for the ground to become useable. They are just there, green shoots coming along nicely, a quick check every so often - sorted!

WRONG!!!! looked earlier this afternoon found quite few shoots had fallen off, some were hollow on the top. I lifted the trays and checked underneath nothing, but there under the rim were THREE small FAT slugs!

There are always slug pellets down in my greenhouse..........the slugs love it in there, specially after I've put seedlings in there >:(

Amazing how they survive the tough winter and as soon as the temperature rises a bit they're hungry and ready to feast on my spring cabbages!!!
Little blue (organic) pills....now, where are you.....?

Was out in the garden today and spotted my first slug of the year on the brussels, squeshed it. I hope my frogs come back to the garden this year again.

Hope it isn't the year of the slug

Just been clearing out the dead and dying out of the greenhouse due to global warming! and found three frogs so i darn't put any pellets down i may not need to if the frogs  do there job. :happy:
