Courgette Alcohol

One of the chaps up the plot was telling me about an alcoholic drink he made with a marrow, and brown sugar. Trouble is, I wasn't really listening to the details, and I haven't seen him since. ( it was something like scoop out the seeds, fill with sugar and wait a month )
I thought I'd give it a go with one of the oversized courgettes, so I've got some brown sugar from Tesco.....
...........and hopefully one of you kind folk can fill in the details
