Mealworms

Could somebody be kind enough to advise me on the above.
I give the chickens plenty of greens, etc, and feed them on Layer pellets. however, I have recently been told that they should also have some of the above.
If this is so,how much(many) should they get and is there a difference if they are alive or dried ( that is the Mealworms!!).
Your advice will be welcome

they are quite high in fat content so not many at all (although most chickens will start to mug you for them), live or dried it makes no difference they love both. You don't have to give them to your birds - they are meant as a treat only  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

As Joyfull has said - they don't need meal worms at all.  They are a tasty treat, that's all.

Mealworms work every time when your trying to get them back in the run in the evening. They'll have your hand off for a few worms.

Neither do mine evie and i'm not starting them on them now.  Chicken should be fed on low energy compound layers pellets ( or if you must, mash) and only given high energy feed very sparingly as a treat.  This goes for household scraps too.  Too much high energy food and they get lazy and bored and cease to be happy active chx.
