250 Sq Metre Plot
« on: January 04, 2011, 21:09 »
As some of you may have already seen from my posts , I have moved to a 250 Sq metre plot this year from a half plot, this new money still confuses me.

Does anyone know what is the 'standard' size plot in Rods, Poles or Perches?
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

Allotment holder since 27th May 2007.

Hi Fatbelly,

250 sq m is a 10 rod I think. On our plots we also have 5 rods, which are 125 sq m.

From what I gather, 250 sq m is the standard size for a full plot.

Shame there isn't a "jealous" smiley.
I've got a "double" plot and that's only 125 m2.

Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

My plot's about 300 sq m, Mrs Digger's is about 350 sq m, but she lets me play on it.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

All I can say is that you are all very lucky getting such nice plots. I'm not jealous. Honestly.

Mr 125sqm  ;)

I usually do about 5 x 32' rows of peas. This year I suspect there will be more. All apart from one, will be heritage peas and I have 6 new types of heritage pea, (only 10 seeds of each) to grow just for more seed.

I also grow a climbing heritage pea at home - Champion of England.

The non-heritage pea is "Dorian" (Mr. Big), I fell for the blurb on the packet - that and Wyevale's 50p sale!

I think that would be the whole of my allotment!!

I borrowed a surveyor's wheel today and measure mine (I'm geeky like that :)), and I've only got 200 sq metres! I'm being shortchanged lol.
