I dug some today, i used the long and thin draining spade.  They came out easy

  Im looking forward to digging up and trying mine, but am going to wait till Christmas, unfortunatley i dont think i'll be able to get a JCB onto the plot Do you think a concrete braker would do?

Youd get to roast your parnips too that way, killing two birds with one stone

It'd trim your eyebrows and fringe too - there's a third bird etc etc etc

not sure hubby would be too pleased about setting fire to them  I have told him he has to dig them up  or no parsnips on Christmas day

I pulled up one as an experiment yesterday and it cam out ok
