but my coops will be transported to work and blasted on the concrete, all water then gets drained away so for me it is ok  :D. I do agree though just blasting them out onto the floor is a no no as any survivors will just climb back up and set up residence again .

Did you read all of the statutory stuff first?

On the label: "APPLY ONLY IN AREAS INACCESSIBLE TO LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY"
http://www.flycontrol.novartis.co.uk/product/en/data_oxyfly.shtml

The product information also specifies it is for professional use.
http://www.molevalleyfarmers.com/mvf-static/reports/product/pdf/25487.pdf

I think that indicates that amateurs shouldn't be using it in domestic poultry housing.

If it's that powerful and can only be used where poultry cannot reach it would indicate that it is picked up or absorbed by animals coming into contact with it and hence transmitted to the meat and eggs.  Anyone who uses a prohibited (professional only) product or uses it in the wrong way should be aware that they may no longer sell meat or eggs but only use them for their own consumption.

An egg for breakfast might stop your children getting lice though ;)

Thank you for posting your personal experience - I am sure we are all responsible enough to choose whether we use it not on our own judgement. Sorry that you got blasted, but I value yours and anyone elses opinion.

Goodnes me alancane, not blasted at all, just told the facts.

Humans can suffer a great deal of neurological damage from pesticides, remember farmers and sheep dip a few years back.  It's just as well to know what the dangers are from unlicenced procedures and to know that you should not expose the unsuspecting customers of your eggs.

Gardeners are extremely careful about using pesticides and a lot will not use them at all because of the dangers of residues in our food and the damage to non target species.  Poultry keepers should be careful too.

Through my job, I'm aware of the Oxyfly product for use in the dairy industry. I certainly wouldn't think it suitable for use near poultry.
