Freezing sprouts
« on: November 17, 2010, 12:23 »
Hi

I have both red & green sprouts in need of harvesting  ::) ( didn't plan that well ! :wacko) Can I just prep them and open freeze them on a tray & then bag up or do I have to partake in this 'blanching' lark !?

Thanks

If you're going to eat the lot at Christmas you'll get away without blanching! Otherwise I'd blanch http://www.allotment-garden.org/allotment_foods/Storing_the_Surplus_Freezing.php
