Onion damage
« on: November 16, 2010, 21:31 »
Hi,

A few of the leaves on my winter onions have folded over or kind of snapped, it seems to be just the one at the end of the bed. I guess the recent wind did it, is it worth replacing them with the spare sets I have left over or will they recover?

Cheers.

They should recover, at first they put on loads of root then top growth, providing the root system isnt damaged then they will put the top growth on, they can sometimes look dormant for months on end then just shoot up, keep an eye on them, if they look like they are rotting then clear them.
