squash plants
« on: October 26, 2010, 11:14 »
Hi All, I have 6 squash plants still in my plot, (I planted them too late but they were given to me, so nothing lost) however Ive had no fruit from them and they are still all in flower.  Im getting worried that time is running out, Ive got them under one of theose flimsy plastic cloches but it has been icy a couple of mornings now.

Is there anything I can do to help them to fruit or will I inevitably loose them to the elements.

Ive already brought inside (the house - no greenhouse) 2 pepper plant a cucumber and a tomato, who are near fruiting or have small fruits.

Thanks for any help

Jools.

For the third time this year.

I agree with mum.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks youve confirmed wht I knew, Ill dig them up tonight, not worth wasting any more nutrients in the soil on them, will compost them.

Knew I was grasping at straws, Ill just have to get started earlier next year and get myself organised from February onwards.
