I have 1 chicken, only 1 egg out of 6 hatched
The Chicken is great fun, she will literally jump through hoops to get a raisin(sp?)
The chick has copied the cockatiel and it sits on our shoulders

Sounds like quite a character  :).

I would add that chickens are flock animals and do better in company.  You may need to consider getting one or preferably two more (in case one of them dies).

Little chick may need to learn how to be a chicken as there is no broody mother to show her.

In the meantime good luck!

One of my hens likes to perch on my shoulder which is cute until she decides my teeth are food she might be able to steal.
A peck in the teeth is not so cute.

I have 2 cockatiels. She may do this if she feels threatened or if she is distressed or she may be about to lay eggs (if you have not got a male this could still be the case) and feels very protective.

I could be wrong but the she is a he.    and from what ive seen he is trying to mate with you as he would a female and because your not reasponding he is getting fustrated hence the attacks.
if you do get him a female he won't be the same all his attention will be with the female.
