Hi all im thinking of placing a polytunnel over my gooseberry bushes then growing some veg on the other side any thoughts guys?

just my opinion but seems like a waste of polytunnel space to me as goosegogs are tough, they will need a lot of space and will be difficult to prune, weed and pick around under polytunnel and if polytunnel is too good (too warm) an environment for them they will be all growth and not a lot of fruit.
I can think of a lot of other things I will put in my tunnel long before goosegogs, of which I have 8 bushes outside.
