Mushroom compost

hi, all very new to this..
can you tell me how good mushroom compost is for my allotment plots please

Welcome to the site Terence  :D

It will help with the soil structure as it is organic matter. 

However it can be quite alkaline so if you already have alkaline soil it might be best avoided.  Also avoid putting it where spuds are (unless the soil is quite acidic) as too much lime can cause scab.  Brassicas will love it though.

Therefore the real answer is 'it depends'  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
