what would you call your apple tree ?

to create an apple tree variety, and have more than one tree of that variety, you have to graft them onto other apple trees, this is because seedling apples are an example of "extreme heterozygotes", in that rather than inheriting DNA from their parents to create a new apple with those characteristics, they are instead different from their parents, sometimes radically. i have always wanted to grow an apple tree from seed so i could have my very own variety, if you grew an apple tree from seed what apple would you get it from and what would you call the variety ?

If it turned out to be rosy-cheeked, totally reliable, and with impeccable taste I would have to call it Aunt Sally!!!
