I still can't get the thing to start!

So far I've drained and cleaned the fuel tank, stripped the carb and replaced the diaphragm and longer fuel pickup and given it a new spark plug.
I've got a good spark and when I put a bit of petrol in the carb it starts after a couple of pulls and runs for a few seconds. Which leads me to think that it's still not getting fuel through.
Where am I going wrong?!

Hi Graham, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. As the sun was shining I spent all afternoon combining. I'll try today!

I took it all apart this afternoon and she runs like a dream now!!!

I'm not exactly sure where the problem was, but I replaced the shorter fuel pickup (which I bought but didn't fit as I couldn't get the old one out), cleaned the surface where the carb joins the fuel tank and sprayed loads of carb cleaner into the hole where the needle valve sits.
