I have two flavours in my chicken ranch, ex bats (poss Bovan Goldine) and Blackrocks, both produce nice brown eggs however, and I have emailed Dobson & Horrell, since I gave them Dobson and Horrell layers pellet (about two weeks in now) the shell has gone from brown to white  The shell is good, not thin or brittle just white.
Has anyone else come across this?
Is this normal?

I have a Bluebell that first started laying brown eggs but now she lays cream coloured eggs. Same menu each day of pellets, mixed corn and greens. Don't know why the shell colour has changed but I can only assume it's an age thing. All the other hens lay consistent coloured eggs.

Whilst the exbats are oldish chooks, the Blackrocks are young. I can only think there is something in the pellet that is doing it.
