Im not much good when it comes to pumkins, but i do know that frosts can kill them off and make the pumkins go all soggy, so probably to harvest it before the next predicted frost :)

If you want to be happy forever - take up gardening!

... when the mice have developed an internal combustion engine.

That is less than helpfull.

Alec - if you can't cope with the questions asked here, I suggest you go and post on your other forums.

It was a sensible question, deserving a sensible answer.

Nash - the plant will stop growing very soon. I've had a few yellow ones off, keep an eye on the forecast, but I think you'll have to get it inside soon.

I'm not getting off to a good start.

DD, I would hope that, with the greater part of my posts, I have been seen to be engaging with in relevant discussion about vegetable growing.  Clearly this wasn't pertinent to Nash's question, but nor did I think it was contemptuous of it: instead intended to add some levity to the topic.

But, as I said before, being a n00b, it's my duty to demure when challenged.

Alec.

Thanks for your reply.

We like all to fit into what has become quite a community. Talk to us one to one, as you would do if you met us face to face.  Your postings would shut me up for a start if we met face to face, but I'm sure there's more to you than is coming over at the moment.

Meanwhile - anyone for pumpkins?

I think NASH has his answer so I have locked the topic to stop the clowns taking over the gardening .  I've see what happens in the circus when that happens  ;)

Please PM me if you have a problem with this.
