there's a search engine called Google which if you enter a search phrase like hmmmm... let be see now......."rescue chickens", "ex battery hen rescue chickens", "rehoming battery chickens" or "ex battery hens rehabilitation" for example might well give you the links you want.  Just a guess.

No need for sarcasm Hillfooter, questions are what make a forum flourish.

Many people use The British Hen Welfare Trust. Website is:

http://www.bhwt.org.uk/

There are also some great chats in this room and the chicken coop forum with people's experiences of having ex batts - Good luck and well done if you get them   8) 8) 8)

you may have to keep trying that link  for the British hen welfare trust - I just tried to google them for you and it wouldn't connect.

I think the battery system refers to 'in lines' as in artillery battery not anything to do with Everready or Duracell. :)

Battery : a collection of related things intended for use together e.g. "a battery of cages for hens"

Worked ok for me when I just tried. Maybe a different browser you have or just a glitch. Anyway, if it doesn't work, google BHWT and it will come up.
