We`ve taken up all the earlies and the purple wight garlic and brought them and half a ton of soil/mud with them. This is the first time I`ve had to wash potatoes after digging them up,come to that it`s the first time I`ve dug all the first earlies out at the same time.I`ve had to trim the roots off the garlic as there was no other way to remove the mud and will have to hang them in the kitchen for now.I`m hoping the rest of the garlic can wait a week or so,I`ve over done it again
I`ve still got some leeks to plant but even the raised beds are sodden.

Is this not the perfect weather for transplanting leeks??
I am about to lift my spuds and put the leeks in their place, and I thought well aren't you meant to 'puddle' leeks in? maybe there will be a bumper leek harvest!
