mine is 11m x 7m approx a quarter plot, I would like more room to grow more fruit, but really don't have the space :(

The plots on our site are various sizes and some appear to have quarter size plots (rather small) one chap has several fruit trees, cherry, apple and pear and they are (excuse my total ignorance) the upright ones which don't have branches..  They are loaded with fruit, are right on the edge of his plot and take up virtually no room and cast no shade.  Perhaps this would be your answer.

My plot has 2 asparagus beds a large rhubarb patch and loads of raspberries, so nearly half is permanent crops. So next year the asparagus is going with half the rhubarb and half the fruit to give me more space.
Hurray finally retired
two plots now 31A and 35A

Mines a managable half on our site 5m x 40m although I would like a bit more for some fruit. It enough for me doing all the work on my own.

I have to admit it does take a lot of room but I do like it and it's so expensive that I'm planning a bed, fortunately I have enough room for that and the sprouts.

mine is 15 rods, that's 100ft x 30ft in old money - it's a council owned allotment.  We've had it just over two years now, but because of the high interest in GYO our site is now only renting out half plots, must say i'm glad we got the full plot  :)

You're like a rash Jay, all over :tongue2: the site today.

....and no, there's no kipping on the allotment allowed.  Mind you some of the sheds have got curtains

Mine is 4mtr x 40 mtr which is a full plot on our site - less a foot each side for path, its enough to give us plenty to eat in season plus lots to freeze - second year this year so getting the hang of it a bit now, need to be a bit more sucessional though with the planting of things we eat lots of :)
