Our local Wickes DIY store is selling big 40 ltr soft plastic two handled buckets for £3.99. They are very soft plastic and can be squashed and stacked for storing. Good for when you're pulling up weeds or gathering crops.

I love my squashy buckets - I use a red one for perennial weeds and roots and the blue one for annual ones, easy to sort for composting

Ah, two bins for different types of weeds - another piece of the jigsaw fitting in. Perennial weeds are couch grass and bindweed??? Any more?

I have seven 38l tubtrugs lined up along a ledge on the side of my house with cherry tomatoes and aubergines in - one in each colour of the rainbow  They were cheaper than big plant pots, and look very jolly!

Ooo I'd not thought of using these as planters, I wonder if I could use these for the potatoes I'm hoping to grow for Christmas.
I do love these plastic buckets
I've got a big one and DD follows me round with a little pink one when she's 'weeding'.

My son also has a bright pink wee one to put stuff in
If you're using them as planters, don't forget a drainage hole in the bottom

Thanks for the tip ! They are £4.99 or £9.99 in b&q according to size.
Since you are talking about it, is it perennial or annual weeds that can go in the compost bin ?
