At a rough guess, without seeing them, I would say that they're most likely to be the eggs of a red slug.
If you have chickens they may well be grateful for the treat!

There are some people to whom you should never invite yourself for tea.

My list has just increased by one!

My mate's mum once served her dad a pie made from dog food as he had annoyed her.  He thought it was lovely and commented on her improved cooking skills.
I think the motto should be: never trust someone to cook for you who you may have annoyed.  Don't forget that us womanfolk have long memories and plenty of patience to get even!!!

They could be vine weevil eggs, they're notorious for hiding in pots.

A centimetre seems big for a slug or snail egg they are normally 4-5 mm tops.
Could it be a fertliser or moisture retention pellet ?

Here is a link to the thread in Notice Board about posting pictures.

Hope that helps, Nuttytart

PS I don't think that vine weevil egges are nearly a cm across, or slug or snail eggs tbh

I`m not scared of spiders but if their eggs are nearly 1cm wide i`m willing to reconsider. :)
