Goosegogs for me too. Was born in Hertfordshire, mother came from London, father from Sheffield. Have lived in Mid and West Herts, Essex and North Yorkshire, and now North Staffs - same word wherever we went. Never heard of the others!  :blink:

Goosegogs up here too... in Durham and the North East in general.. :D Apparently Gog is slang for Gob (mouth), in other words Gooseberries that you eat  :) :)

Goosegobs when I was growing up in North Yorkshire but my wife is more refined and insists that I call them goosegogs. :)

always goosegogs from Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire although my OH is posher than me and calls them gooseberries (he did spend a lot of his childhood growing up in the Cotswolds)  ::)  :lol:

Gooseberries!

30 years in London, 7 yrs in Staffs now Oxfordshire.  And never heard of goosegogs until this year.

Feel I have missed out.... :D

Well this has turned into a very intersting read.....  :dry:

I have to say I too always thought they were called gooseberries and not until being here with you guys did I realise they were called anything other than that.

We learn so much on here  8)

I grew up in Norfolk, my dad was born in lincolnshire and my mum in norfolk, and they have always called them goosegogs...so, so do I!
