just seen my tommtos got a bit of brwn marking on tham just one clump of tham do any one no wot it is or wot iv got do thanks

Is the brown on the fruit itself, or on the leaves.

I have it on mine - no problems, the missus hjust cuts them bits of when she's cooking with them...

Apparently it's quite common with this type of Tom.

Not sure really what the brown marks are, other than something rubbing against the fruit.

They look more like plum tomatoes than beefsteak ones.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I have something similar on a few of my toms, not all. I think it's caused by damage to the skin, in my case hail while the toms were still very small. It certainly doesn't seem to be spreading.
 
Mind you, I'm only surmising so maybe someone with greater expertise will be able to tell us otherwise.
