I have a Welsummer chick, now about 14 weeks old ... well I have three, but last evening I noticed one of them keeps closing one eye. Obviously then she cocks her head on one side so as to be able to see, but I can see no other abnormal behaviour. She is well, the eye is dry, there's no sign of an infection ...

Any ideas what's going on?

it could be the onset of an eye infection so perhaps a trip to the vets to get some swabs taken before it gets any worse.

Saw the vet just now ... no sign of respiratory infection, so on eye drops x4 day ... stressful for both of us, but easier and less expensive than treating all four with baytril! I suppose I should isolate her ...
