We have mulled it over for the last year and then in January made the decision that we were having chickens.  Then we had the opportunity to get some pigs to keep on a friends land opposite our house and our time was dedicated to that.

Now at last we have had some free time to clear the area of the garden that we want to keep the chickens on and the hen house has arrived.  We are going to put that up this evening and hopefully next weekend will fence off the area that they are to live in.

Hopefully in the next two or three weeks we should have our first four chickens.

I am so looking forward to getting them.

have fun you will never look back - i love my chucks and the cooking that goes with all those lovely eggs how many are you going to get - i have four and they keep a family of 3 supplied and pay their way with the odd dozen i sell

We've had our 4 chooks for a week now, and they should've came with a health warning.......
