Hen bullying?
« on: June 25, 2010, 19:58 »
Since my last post the same chicken perked up but has become submissive over all the other chickens, one of the chickens has begun to run at her squaking at her and scaring her, any of the other chickens come near her and she runs off now thanks to the bullying one.. she is the oldest of the lot and all 7 of my chickens have been together since birth at the farm i got them from. I hate watching her gettin bullied by the others since she is such a sweetie and the first of them to lay.

you will always have one at the to0p and another at the bottom of the pecking order. One of my welsummers was the bottom of the order and never joined in with the others, however she just seemed content to watch from the side lines. So long as she isn't being injured there really isn't much you can do  :(
Staffies are softer than you think.
