Sundrying tomatoes

I'm expecting a big harvest in my new polytunnel, we all love sundried tomatoes, is there any way i can do this myself? toms are just starting to ripen :D

I've seen it done by Jamie/Hugh/etc in a very low oven overnight. I don't think we can reliably get the sun you'd need to do it italian-style - having said that we're facing a hosepipe ban according to this morning's news!

If you don't want them in oil, just make sure they are dry enough to store in a tin or jar before you take them out of the oven.

thanks mum, it seems like a lot of electricity in the oven so i'l just eat them fresh :D

It might be a bit steep on the old leccy bill , but its well worth it!
