Was heavenly.  Much sweeter than my Elsanta.  Some may accidently proprogate themselves, I hope not cos they say Propagation prohibited for these ones.  ;)

So nice I will probably steer towards these ones and run the Elsanta strawbs down a bit as they are more acidy.......the Elsanta that is.

I probably picked the strawb a day earlier than I should but something had a bit of a nibble on it, so didn't want to risk leaving it.  All my strawbs are on a bench table and I have loads so difficult to net not impossible but difficult.

You know full well that I'm stuck here in the Denmark sunshine whilst mine are all ripening. I hope daughter remembers to pick them and they don't go to waste.

Mine have gone rampant, I told them not to put out runners, but they wouldn't listen.

Pleased that you weren't disappointed.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Ah...

LOL Amended the heading as I can see peeps might just think I was saying the strawb was irresistable, not realising thats the name of 'em.

Hehe DD was wicked of me, your daughter may well pick them but how do you know she won't eat them Hmmmm!  In the words of my two and half year old Grandson........." That is a bit funny, not very funny, but it is a bit."  But I wouldn't be that mean, he said it not me.

Not out of stock in T&M.

Ah...

Whilst you look cute when you blush, fret not, I make a bigger fool of myself on a hourly basis :D

and it helped that I'd read the thread when DD. was on about his irrisitible strawberries that have the following "condition"

Quote from: a-random-seller
**Propagation prohibited. For home gardener use only. Further propagation of Strawberry Irresistible is forbidden without a license from Meiosis.

Kinda stuck in my mind ;)

Be interesting to see them try and prosecute birds for nicking your strawberries and spreading the seeds ;)

Followed the link and guess what, out of stock

How can they stop someone propagating the runners for their own use?  Are they going to visit every person who has bought the strawbs then do expensive DNA test on the plants if they think they've been propagated.  If you do what can they do about it, is there some sort of 'copyright' on plants.  I would think  if they sell you the plants you can use them as you see fit.

They are exclusive to T&M anyway, I think the link yabba gave just goes through to T&M or greenfingers bought up some.

The bit about "propagation prohibited" is probably intended for comercial use.
It is only intended for home growers. I don't really think that anyone will come snooping around your plot. That would be trespassing. Wouldn't it?

Don't start me on the trespass route again.

I think it's a bit silly to expect people not to propagate if something is good, surely it's a compliment.  Anyway if I did it at home they'd have four dogs to get past first.
