Is there anything that chickens need to be given regularly to prevent disease (eg the equivalent to worming dogs or using flea powder?)

Other then normal cleaning and changing bedding is there anything I should do to the coup/run?

To prevent/get rid of red mite I spray Poultry sheild all around the coup once a month and once dry paint on Diotam.

I worm once a month with Flubenvet

I spray the chooks every few weeks with Johnsons mite & lice spray and powder them with either diatom or some useless barrier lce powder that I payed £9 for and once finished will not be buying again.

I add ACV (apple cider viniger to their water for about 3 weeks out of 4 to help their digestive and immune and general health and I add Poultry Spice to their food every now and again for their general wellbeing.

I check them every day and talk and cuddle them as often as I can.


And no I am not normal I'm as mad as a hatter but my chookss are Happy and healthy. :happy: :happy: :happy: :happy: :happy:

i bought mine a watermelon this morning for a treat they love it and the ducks drink the water out of it.
