No potatoes when i dug up a few

Hi planted pink fir apple in feb and tried to pull a few last night and there wasn't anything there only the seed potatoes any ideas what the problem could be ?

Be gutted if I didn't get any !

pink fir apples are late main crop potatoes, and I wouldn't be expecting anything from them for ages yet

On the packaging it says harvest in 9 to 12 weeks and I planted them late feb

I would have thought 9-12 weeks for first earlies, not late maincrop.

You need to wait until at least they flower. My PFIs are only just thinking about flowering. So there's plenty of time yet.

My PFIs have always been late, but well worth waiting for. Don't know why the packaging would say different.

They will be ready when the foliage dies down.

For large Pink Fir Apple you might have to wait as long as 24 weeks. We lift them before that as we are only after seed.
