Been down to the allotment today and harvested my first ever (early) potato plant. Was very impressed and they tasted lovely.

Im slightly worried though.. I have a lot of potatos growing and have noticed 1 that is looking very unhappy and wilted. I also noticed the one next to it looked like it was a little wilted too! Its a main crop.

I ripped it up to find a soggy seed potato but nothing else so i binned the plant. I left the one next to it though (slightly worried about leaving that one now)

Is this something I should be worried about ? I have half my plot growing potatos as its my first year.. I would hate to loose them!!!

Pics below of the offending plant and the rest of them looking quite healthy.. Can anyone help me out or set my mind at rest ?

The nearest I can get to it is leaf roll virus, not good news.

I take it they were certified seed?

Sorry, can't reassure you as it looks like leaf roll virus.  Are the plants smaller than the others?

sorry to post hack but is this bad? i too am on my first full year and filled half my plot with pots, and also have a few like this dont know about certified but i got them all from suttons

Mine were all certified seed.. my dads were from an allotment potato day so I would hope they were ok. Its one of those that seems to be having the problems..

Is there anything that i can do to stop it ??

Thank goodness,  I did read the link but it didnt mention toms. Any advice to make them look better
