Junie - some nice advice there!

As with most pets - they need and deserve time.  ;)
Never keep your wish-bone where your back-bone ought to be.

Thanks for all the replies they are dwarfs and could be housed together, the cage is now in two parts and they live in seperate bits. They seem a lot happier (well one does) they cleaned all the blood off and the next morning they actually looked rather fit and healthy and showed me the next night that they still enjoyed their wheels

Our hamster before these was a white winter russian and she was amazing, she came when called, she climbed on your hand when you lay it in the cage to pick her up, she never ever hurt anyone. I would have a white winter again without question, just not the dwarfs.

Anyway they are both okay and happy in their new houses, one is in her full house with tubes and loving it the other is in a smaller version and we are adding a tiny piece a day, she doesnt like to be messed with and doesnt like change so we are taking it slowly with her.

So all is well thank goodness  ;)

Update the shy hamster (Tilly Beany) today had her last bit added to her house, she was even brave enough to take a treat through the bars from me (thats a first without her screaming "murder")

both are much happier seperate so all ended well in the end

And your scars?  Are you healing up okay too?

Yes they are, delayed slightly by the fact I am a bit of a picker  and they say only kids pick.

Must admit reading this thread has made me nervous with my little rescue Hammée  At least I now know that she won't be wanting a friend thanks to this and that I am lucky as she loves climbing onto my hand and taking treats from my hand. I think she is common Syrian with long black fur (which is so soft and lovely to stroke ).

I'm glad your little Hams are happy again BQ  :)
