ivermectin staggered treatment?
« on: June 09, 2010, 07:14 »
So I have read good reviews about iver mectin drops and the only bad thing being it not being lisenced (that doesn't stop us with frontline) and egg withdrawal for 1 week so if I decide to use ivermectin can I stagger the treatment 1 hen one week ect ??? I only have 3 hens and don't want to go withought altogether. I guess what I'm asking is will the stagering make the treatment less efective? and should they all be done at once?

Dont think you can Wolverine. I've just had lice and mites in my flock so have found out quite a bit about the little blighters. Unless you treat all at same time they could reinfect each other! I used frontline for cats twice, 7 days apart and it has worked and I carried on eating the eggs with no ill effects apart from extra head (joking). ::)
