Our hens have got it into their heads that my shoe laces are some form of delicous food , now I can't move about in the run without them attacking the laces and my ankles with vigour, ouch ! Even a double knot as tight as I can tie is no match   Have to be very careful I don't stand on them, don't fancy venturing in there with bare feet !!

Before getting chickens Ma and Pa Lowe came to visit me to see my girls and Ma turned up with sandals and red toe nail varnish. It wasn't long before she realised this was not the correct attire when around chickens

Mine are obsessed with my Crocs and peck at them endlessly but ignore other footware    Mind you I wouldn't risk flip flops when I went near them

I think my girls are just used to it now and have realised long ago that pecking my toes isn't actually that tasty!
