waterlogged lottie

Found the lottie this weekend with bottom half under 4ins water. The main crops spuds which are further up need earthing up but it was like mud slurry ( left wellie got stuck as I sunk in 8 ins  )  Will it be ok to leave the spuds for a bit till it dries out :?: and any advice how to improve drainage or a supplier of rice plants :!:  The wettest bit is where I had killed off couch and weeds with round up and not got round to digging over.

Same ere mate just gotta let it drain away at least you will not have to water for a few weeks. The roots will be happy with all that wet soil underneath. Put my spade in yesterday, spade depth really wet. Look like more rain all week. So that means more slug and snail probs eating everything. :( Get them pellets down. Need good dry spell to stop them coming out. They are loving it this Spring/Summer especally my sunflowers stripped 2 off them all gone.
I CAME LATE TO THIS GAME, BUT IT'S IN THE BLOOD. I TRY TO BE ORGANIC BUT SORRY HAVE TO USE THE SLUG PELLETS.

Same here. Plot is soaked. We have random objects distributed about the plot which makes me think it must have been badly flooded (it is right beside a river that did burst - it was in the newspaper)

Just been down to allotment to check it out and try and put some more toms in. Same areas flooded again. and I was just about to put a tom plant in and it started to rain again. So waited for 10 mins but just gave up. Been back for  a hour and it as just stopped. Well at least me swedes are doing well and no slug attacks so far I am keeping them at bay. They will not beat me

After being waterlogged for two weeks, my climbing french beans have wilted, and died, the cabbage and sprouts don't look to clever either
