Hello, can anyone advise re leg feathers ?  Having recently acquired a pair of sable poots i need to know if the leg feathers need to be occasionally trimmed or do they wear down as they roam ? Grateful for advice.

leave them they will wear down - if you want to show them they they need to be on a surface that will minimise any damage to them  I have a couple of 5 week old boys if you are interested FTGH

really you will need more than one hen for him (which is why I hatched some as I had just one of each). Remember in cold wet or snowy weather they eally should be kept either inside or under cover - lots of people lost sablepoots last winter
