Look out for blackleg

A few of us on our site have got potato blackleg in our spuds.
Different varieties, planted at different times from different suppliers
Just a heads-up for all as it may be a bad year for it - too early to say yet but worth being on your guard.

I've never had it before so it was a bit of a surprise.

I have one plant, Nicola that sounds like it has it. Noticed it looked a bit sickly last week but haven't done anything with it. I will go and dig it up this afternoon & get rid.  Glad I read this one - thanks
