When earthing up potatoes should you completely cover the leaves?

Only if there's a chance of frost.

The leaves are the food factory of the plant and need to see sunlight in order to make it.

Oh!  If I (I say I but I mean OH ) have covered them completely will I need to take some off I can I learn from this mistake and not do it next time.

Don't feel like telling OH I told him to do it wrong

Hope theres no more frost. Mine are earthed up to the max now and still popping through. Think I will leave it to fate now as I have managed to avoid the frost so far
