My Pekin has been sitting on these eggs for 17 days, 3 have already been disguarded by me ask they were infertile, not sure about these. They have a large dark section and it all seem fairly fluid, no obvious shape. I am not hopeful and wonder how long do I let her sit on them for to be sure. Then if nothing comes from them, how do I deal with my broody to reintroduce her and persuade her she isn't going to be a mummy . I will try and add pictures so you can see what you think - I'm not sure what they should look like at this stage.  :

Chicken eggs hatch at normally 21 days.

I would leave them alone if she is happy to sit on them.... she may know better than you.

If they are dark then they are developed to some degree, and keeping on fiddling with them may affect the way they will turn out

I had an egg that looked decidedly fluidy and not at all chick like recently and took it out with the blanks from the bator to make space.... i cracked the eggs for the dogs which is what I always do and to my horror this one egg had a pretty well formed LIVE chick in it....

Suffice to say, it didnt last long

Without wanting to sound harsh-leave her too it! they arnt even due to hatch yet...give her time and make sure you are ready for any chicks that hatch out, and dont forget the photos
