I wonder what colour the triffid's fruit will be if it makes it to adulthood?

I not sure how it would get a virus as its been kept indoors as its been so cold.. its still growing strong (tall)and still very strange looking! the leaves are pointing the wrong way (downwards) and the tiny ball things have not turned into leaves but have started growing tiny stalks (they kind of look like eyes... ) Ive noticed the colour of the leaves is also lighter than all my others... so i guess we will see what it does no knocking sound yet  :D
Ill keep you all updated.. and if you dont hear from me........................................

......... it had just better not come and get me too

If you're awake at 7am - 8am on Saturday mornings, Radio York has its gardening show then and you can email photos to them in advance for them to look at (I think it's plantsurgery @ bbc.co.uk or something similar, check out their website for details)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Just an update on my strange plant.. It now has another set of leaves which look a totally different colour I'm not going to pinch them out as it's supposed to be a bush.. It also has flowers at the top and has slowed growing upwards...  ??? Still looks nothing like any of my others!

I've got a feeling it was something rather special and exciting..... that's why it's being kept top secret!  ;)

Watch out for something very different in next year's seed catalogues.

The plant looks like a cross between a bush and a normal sort, it's about 2.5ft high with long branches about the same length.. The fruits are light red ( even when I've left them on) and in-between cherry and normal size plum sort of shape... Yummy tho
