its def a tomato.... just not sure why its growing so different....I forgot to add they are going to be potted on tomorrow.. so with it supposed to be a bush variety should i just keep it supported and see what it does or take the top off (last year i grew exactly the same ones (same packet) and they didnt get tall at all, i think the variety is yellow cherry tumbler...

All my toms were planted same day, in same compost and in same windowcill.... so ????

If it kills blight as well can I have one please?
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Is it not just a bit leggy? did it have the same light position as the others?  I have a few starkly different toms on the go which are same varieties.  pretty sure its due to variations in light levels, and maybe pot sizes.

A fast growing, taller than average, light-weight, blight resistant (?) tomato-related triffid.

As long as it doesn't sting it should produce fruit.

I'd make sure it had as much light as I could give it.... cool it down a little and (most important of all) I'd not turn my back on it at all.... looks like its going to be a biggun!

It looks very much like a Purple Ukraine tom, you know ;)
My P U are 3 times as tall as all the others I've grown (all in full light) and already have sticks to keep them upright :D Have you the space to grow it on just to see what fruit it has?....if not it's compost

It was grown in the same size pot as the other single ones, on the same windowcill in the same compost, it's stem is as thick so I wouldn't say it was leggy.. The leaves are bigger and there isn't as much hair on the stem.. I have room so I'll be growing it on (repotted today) I also noticed where the leaves are growing there are a bundle of small green balls (possibly new leaves... Only tiny) right at the top of the plant... I guess time will tell

I have just had a thought about this.  Is the plant infected with a virus?  Apparently there is a virus transmitted by greenfly which makes the plant go strange like this.  We had a lot of trouble with it one year and had to ditch the plants.

Infected plants do not crop.
