You have to keep all brassicas well labelled.  To me they all look the same for the first few weeks or so.  They do all certainly look very similiar.  I need to pot mine on now but I have run out of space in the greenhouse.

hi all
To save labeling every pot or tray of plants we use coloured lollypop sticks, just label one pot with itsname and just put a coloured stick in the rest, used to do it when we ran a small nursery, save getting everything mixed up.

It's not only brassicas that look a like when they are small!  the other day a man came round after I advertised my friend's old Sky box on Freecycle.

He said "I came a couple of years ago and you gave me some tomato plants.  You also gave me a cucumber plant.  Well, it wasn't a cucumber, it was a melon".  He said "I thought melons were hard to grow, but I looked after this plant and it grew me a lovely melon.  I saved the seeds.  Washed and dried them like you said and kept them in a brown paper bag in cool conditions, then last year I planted some and I had lots of lovely melons, and I saved the seeds from them to plant this year!"

And do you know, I've never yet grown a decent melon myself!!!!   :(

What a good idea!  I have two different types of tomatoes, one cordon and the other bush.  My husband repotted them for me and didn't label them
