yesterday ihad one egg in nest box good one. one broken no shell in poop tray. one very thin shell in poop tray.then two good ones in nest box.then one thin shell but ok in afternoon.puzzeling bit is 6 eggs in one day but only 4 chickens. what do u peeps think strange or what.

I will occaisonally get a soft shell and normal egg out of the same hen in a day - soft shell normally laid overnight, then a normal one in the afternoon.  I don't think its something to overly worry about so long as they have access to grit and oyster shell.
